Dr. Liisa Laakso graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1984. She specialized in Ophthalmology in 1991 in Finland with a special interest in refractive and cataract surgeries. Dr. Liisa is highly experienced in using the latest technologies including the fastest excimer and femtosecond lasers and microkeratomes for refractive (LASIK, PRK) surgeries and the most advanced phacoemulsification techniques for cataract surgeries. Dr. Liisa is highly respected and trusted as a professional in her field as evidenced by the fact that amongst the thousands of patients she has operated are family members as well as revered colleagues. |

| To keep up-to-date with the newest developments in her field she is a member of ESCRS (The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons). Dr. Liisa shares her time in her native Finland and Oman, her second home since 10 years. Dr. Liisa is devoted and passionate about giving her patients the best care and attention. |

Medical Doctor since 1977. Specialized in Ophtalmology in 1981. Senior Consultant Ophtalmologist, Dr Pietilä started refractive surgeries in 1991 as one of the first in Europe.He has operated since then more than 30000 eyes, mostly by Lasik. Dr Pietilä has worked in 7 different countries. He has publiced a lot of scientific papers in the field of refractive surgery and is teaching young doctors in different parts of world. He has given numerous talks in scientific conferencies. Dr Pietilä is also Clinical Consultant for three medical companies. |

Graduated in 1990 from Florence, Italy as a doctor of optometry. He has been involved in eye corrective surgeries since 2001 participating in preoperative examinations and post operative follow ups.He counsells patients about the surgeries. He is recognized by the ophthalmologists for his remarkable skills in eye testing techniques and hard contact lens fitting. He loves to work with low vision patients and help them with low vision aids. |

Dr. Nada Al Jadiry graduated as a general fractional Doctor from Baghdad University in 1995. She had practiced as specialized in general ophthalmology in Baghdad since 1997. In 2004, she worked as a junior specialist in Jordan . then in 2007 she joined Finland Eye Center / Muscat as a specialist ophthalmologist , Where she because highly interested in refractive surgeries especially LASIK and got a good experience and patient confidence in that field and she is still looking forward to cope with the newest advances and technologies is that field. |

Dr Kirsi Tiina Kukonen graduated as medical doctor in 1994 and spcialited in ophthalmology in 2002 from University of Helsinki in Finland since that she worked in Helsinki university hospital at the vitreo retinal department she has a sulespecial Eye surgery her special interests are Vitreo retinal and Cataract procedures . She has one thousands of operations. To keep up – to-date with reuest modern technologies and technologies in her field she is a member of ESCRS ( The European society of Cataract and refractive surgeries ) and EVRS (European Society of Vitreo retinal Surgeries ) Dr Kirsi Tiina joined Finland Eye Center in January 2011 and she is ready and enthusiastic to meet patient and answer your questions |

Good vision is not just the outcome of a healthy eye, it needs a good interaction between the eyes and the visual center in the brain.This is why after completing his residency training in Ophthalmology at the Manila Central University Hospital in 2007, Dr Basel attended a two years fellowship program in Neuro Ophthalmology with the Neuro Ophthalmology club of the Philippines. Dr Basel Elsawalhi joined the Finland Eye Center as a consultant Ophthalmologist and Neuro Ophthalmologist in early 2011. He is highly enthusiastic to be at your service. |

Dr. Marcia Martins is passionate about medicine and throughout her career she has been recognized for providing the highest level of patient care & post-op follow-up and outstanding achievements in the practice of Ophthalmology. She is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Board Certified and registered Doctor trained and educated in Brazil, specialized in Ophthalmology since 2004. She has been practicing in the Middle East for more than 5 years and has spoken at various regional, national and international medical forums. |

Dr Gihad Al Sarraf is a Senior Consultant in Ophthalmology qualified as Medical doctor in 1971. Achieved his greatest qualifications ( P.L.A.B, Primary FRCS, D.O, FRCS,FRCO ) in United Kingdom, Parallel with that he also build up the highest standard of training and professional work, Combined with practical and surgical skills. Started with Junior post of senior medical officer, Moving up the ladder reaching consultant post in Ophthalmology at Furness General hospital in the lake district ( in UK ). He also has got full registration with British medical council. |

| For the last 16 years. Dr Gihad has been working in sultanate of Oman as senior consultant in eye department at Al Nahdha hospital.(Which is the center for Ophthalmology in Oman ). When he established a corneal transplant Unit in 1996 . Dr Gihad for many years was the leading Ophthalmologist in the Sultanate of Oman, performing varieties of eye surgeries to the highest standard and diagnosing and managing the most difficult cases in ophthalmology . We are happy to announce that Dr Gihad joined Finland Eye Center in December 2011 and he is glad to offer his services and expertise to all patients who need his help. |

Graduated from Al- Balqa University - Jordan in 1997 as specialist of eye examination. Holds high diploma certificate in opthalmic & fitting of contact lenses from the same university in 1998. Has over 13 years experience as Optometrist in reputed eye centers in Jordan & The United Arab Emirates. Extensive experience in fitting all kinds of contact lenses specially for Keratoconus and other cases. Iyad qawas has attended many conferences and lectures on ophthalmic, keratoconus managment, post corneal graft fitting, and contact lenses fitting, health & hygiene. Holds many certificates in fitting contact lenses from various international institutes. |

| In addition to prescribing glasses, contact lens and low vision aids,his tasks are mainly to do examinations pre -and post Laser surgeries. Iyad Has also interests in Fundus Photography, Optical Coherance Tomography, Visual Field Analysis testing . And he is always ready to put his valuable experience at your service .
